Botts Consulting Group, LLC represents C-Tec which is the company that invented the technology called CoolVision^TM and MilliM^TM. Coolvision^TM laser profilers are a pipeline deformation measurement tool meant to replace the older acceptance procedure which does not allow for the actual measurements and proper documentation that laser profiling can provide. Pipeline laser profiling can accurately measure and document the “actual” internal dimensions of a pipeline unlike the older technology, commonly referred to as Mandrel Testing, which is based on nominal pipe sizes. Typically used in conjunction with a pipeline television inspection system it can assist the owner or engineer in assuring that a pipeline or liner was installed properly and according to the specification. Coolvision^TM laser profilers can be utilized in the pipeline rehabilitation industry to assist the owner or engineer in the proper design of a lining technology and also provide a Quality Control procedure for installed liners. The owner will be provided with a lining thickness verification report throughout the entire line section, not just a "coupon" test. MilliM^TM is a defect and crack measuring tool and software. This technology allows a standard "Pan and Tilt" camera to accurately quantify defects that are typically discovered during an inspection such as joint gap tolerances, cracks in pipelines, lateral sizes and other observations.
